OUTREACH PROGRAMS

Marathon is proud to partner with the United Negro College Fund to provide the Marathon Oil Corporation/UNCF Corporate Scholars Program and Hispanic Scholarship Fund to provide Marathon Oil Corporation/HSF Corporate Scholars Program.

The Programs are designed to reduce the financial barriers for minority students with high academic promise and significant financial need; increase the representation of minorities in chemical engineering; civil engineering; electrical engineering; mechanical engineering; petroleum engineering; health, environment and safety; geology; geophysics; and other energy related disciplines; and allow Marathon to develop relationships with minority students to increase the Company's entry-level pool of prospective minority employees.

Marathon also participates in INROADS, which places talented minority youth into business or industry internships to prepare them for a future in corporate and community leadership.
