Texas City is home to one of Marathon's seven refineries.

Located on the Gulf of Mexico in southeastern Texas, Texas City is an industrial town that offers many opportunities for enjoyment. Texas City is ideally located between Houston and coastal Galveston, a 30-minute drive to each. Many Marathon employees live in the Clear Lake, Texas, area, which has a population of over 150,000. Clear Lake is the home of the NASA/Johnson Space Center and Space Center Houston, an 183,000-foot entertainment and educational complex. Many Clear Lake communities also offer direct access to fresh or salt-water activities.
