Peterhead, Scotland

Peterhead serves as the supply base to support Marathon's United Kingdom operations.

Peterhead, in the far north-east of Scotland, has a population of approximately 19,000 people. The City is the nearest Scottish port to the Brae Fields with berthing facilities and 24-hour access. The City lies almost 600 miles north of London and just over 30 miles north of Aberdeen on a peninsula that is the most easterly point in Scotland.

Peterhead is one of the busiest fishing ports in Europe with over 400 boats and a bustling daily fish market, plus a 100-berth leisure marina. The Maritime Heritage Centre tells the story of the local sailors, whalers and fisher folk. To the north is the important wildlife reserve, Loch of Strathbeg, a winter home for thousands of wild geese and swans.
